The Ridgefield Raptors are happy to announce the signings of Gonzaga University sophomore Michael Spellacy and freshman Grayson Sterling.
“Michael is a great competitor,” said Brandon Harmon, Assistant Baseball Coach at Gonzaga. “He was originally a two-way player in college, but now is solely a pitcher. He brings a solid three-pitch mix to the table.”
With regard to Sterling, Harmon said he is an exciting young hitter. “We believe Grayson has middle of the order potential in his career. He can play both 1B and corner OF and we think his left-handed swing will find a consistent spot in the lineup.”
“We are very excited to have Michael and Grayson play in front of our Southwest Washington fans this summer,” said Ridgefield General Manager Gus Farah.
