Host a Raptor!!
Host families are an essential part of our organization, helping to house collegiate student- athletes from throughout the country on their quest toward the Major leagues!
In 2017, 32 former players from the West Coast League appeared on major league rosters, the majority having spent their summer staying with a host family like yours.
What is the West Coast League??
The league is a professionally operated twelve -team summer wood bat collegiate league that has franchises in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia and runs from the end of May until mid- august. All players are current collegiate players and will return to their respective schools at the conclusion of the season.
Hosting a Raptor
Players are paired with families for the summer who help to ensure their positive experience during their stay in our community. Host families help by providing home structures for players while also providing a bedroom and occasional meals for their player throughout the season, when they are not traveling for away games.
Benefits of Hosting
Aside from positively contributing to the life of your host player, host families are offered a variety of perks, including season tickets and inclusion to various exclusive events that are offered throughout the summer.
As an organization, we strive to invite and select not only the best baseball players from around the country, but also quality young men that our community can be proud to know and cheer on. Many host families and players stay in contact well beyond their time together in the summer and forge lasting bonds. Families with children who are interested in sport often benefit from the experience of hosting a player, who are looked upon as role models to the next generation of active kids.
