The Ridgefield Raptors head to Springfield for their final road series of the 2026 regular season after concluding a three-game set against the Corvallis Knights.
Ridgefield split the first two games of the series in Corvallis. The Knights claimed Tuesday’s opener, 8-2, scoring an unearned run in the second inning before adding three more in the third to build a 4-0 advantage.
Wednesday’s 9-6 Raptors victory had a postseason atmosphere, featuring multiple lead changes, timely hitting and late-inning drama.
Corvallis struck first in the second inning when Berkeley Reentz lifted a sacrifice fly to left field for a 1-0 lead.
The Raptors answered in the third, turning a leadoff walk and single into two runs to move in front 2-1.
The Knights evened the score in the fifth after Ethan Porter tripled to dead center and came home on Kellen Segel’s sacrifice fly.
Ridgefield regained the lead in the sixth. Josh Proctor (Oregon State) drew a leadoff walk before Braden Watson ripped an RBI triple off the base of the wall in right-center field. Watson later scored on a wild pitch to extend the lead to 4-2.
Corvallis responded immediately with a four-run bottom of the sixth to reclaim a 6-4 advantage.
The Raptors answered once again in the seventh. Bo Rico (Fresno State) delivered his biggest hit of the season, driving an 0-2 pitch off the wall in right-center with the bases loaded to clear the bases and tie the game at 6-6.
Ridgefield broke through for good in the ninth. A one-out error allowed Hunter Komine (Pepperdine) to reach before three consecutive walks forced in the go-ahead run. Proctor followed with an RBI single to left to make it 8-6. After Watson was intentionally walked to load the bases, Brayden Oram (MSU Denver) lined an RBI single to left, and Rico added another RBI hit to cap the scoring at 9-6.
Aaron Louis (Portland) closed out the final 1 2/3 innings to earn his first win of the season.
The Raptors looked to secure the series victory in Corvallis on Thursday night before traveling to Springfield.
Ridgefield opens its three-game series against the Drifters on Friday at 6:35 p.m. PT. First pitch is also scheduled for 6:35 p.m. Saturday, while Sunday’s regular-season road finale begins at 4:05 p.m. PT.
By clinching the West Coast League First Half title, the Raptors secured the No. 1 seed in the South Division playoffs. Ridgefield will open the best-of-three first-round series on the road before returning home to host Game 2 Saturday, August 8th and game 3, if necessary, on Sunday August 9th.
