The Ridgefield Raptors return home to host the Redmond Dudes and Northwest Star Nighthawks in their final non-league games of the season. Ridgefield will have an extra day off this week with the West Coast League All-Star Game taking place Wednesday in Victoria.
The Raptors will be represented by five players at the All-Star Game, with first baseman JT Summers (Oregon), outfielders Isaiah Hearn (Oregon) and Zach Wadas (Loyola Marymount), and pitchers Jordan Haver and Parker Heintz (Fresno State) earning selections for the WCL South roster.
Summers and Wadas have been key pieces in the middle of the Raptors’ lineup, leading Ridgefield in several offensive categories. Wadas leads the team with a .336 batting average, while Summers follows closely behind at .331. The duo is also tied for the team lead with six home runs, ranking fifth in the West Coast League.
Summers is tied for the league lead with 37 RBIs, tied for second with 11 doubles, and ranks third with 44 hits.
Wadas ranks 4th in the WCL in slugging percentage (.580), while ranking 7th in RBI (28), and on-base percentage (.468), continuing a standout summer.
Hearn, one of the top recruits in the country and an Oregon signee, has been a force in the Raptors lineup. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound outfielder brings a combination of power, speed, and contact from the left side of the plate. He ranks second on the team with five home runs.
The Fresno State pitching duo of Haver and Heintz helped lead Ridgefield to a first-half WCL South championship. Haver, a sophomore from Oakdale, California, is 1-1 with a 3.99 ERA and 27 strikeouts across 29.1 innings.
Heintz, a sophomore left-hander from Clovis, California, has been one of Ridgefield’s most reliable starters. The Saturday night starter is 1-1 in seven starts and has held opposing hitters to a .198 batting average.
The Raptors open the week with an action-packed night at the ballpark against the Redmond Dudes. Fans can bring the kids for the annual Dash for Cash presented by iQ Credit Union. Following the fifth inning, kids 12 and under will take the field for a chance to go on the field to compete for their share of $2,000 in cash.
Then on Thursday, July 16th, we’ll host our 6th Annual Pink Lemonade Night Jersey Auction presented by Waste Connections, honoring breast cancer survivors and supporting those impacted by breast cancer. The Raptors will wear commemorative pink jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game, with all proceeds benefiting the Pink Lemonade Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, empowering, and supporting communities affected by breast cancer.
