The Ridgefield Raptors return home to host the Corvallis Knights in their final regular-season home series of 2026. The matchup comes less than a week after the clubs last met in Corvallis.
The Knights took two of three games in that series. Corvallis opened with an 8-2 victory Tuesday, scoring an unearned run in the second inning before adding three more in the third to build a 4-0 lead.
Ridgefield answered with a thrilling 9-6 win Wednesday in a game that carried a postseason atmosphere, featuring multiple lead changes and timely hitting.
Corvallis struck first in the second inning on Berkeley Reentz’s sacrifice fly, but the Raptors responded with two runs in the third to take their first lead. The Knights tied the game in the fifth before Ridgefield regained a 4-2 advantage in the sixth. Josh Proctor (Oregon State) led off the inning with a walk, Braden Watson drove in a run with an RBI triple, then scored on a wild pitch.
The Knights answered with four runs in the bottom of the sixth to reclaim a 6-4 lead, but the Raptors responded again in the seventh. Bo Rico (Fresno State) delivered the biggest swing of the night, lining a bases-clearing double off the wall in right-center to tie the game.
Ridgefield pulled away in the ninth after Hunter Komine (Pepperdine) reached on an error and three consecutive walks forced home the go-ahead run. Proctor followed with an RBI single before Brayden Oram (MSU Denver) and Rico each added RBI hits to complete the 9-6 victory. Aaron Louis (Portland) recorded the final five outs to earn his first win of the season.
Corvallis secured the series Thursday with an 11-3 victory, using an early offensive surge to take the rubber game.
The Raptors then traveled to Springfield for their final road series of the regular season. The Drifters scored seven runs in the second inning Friday and pounded out 15 hits in a 14-7 victory.
Saturday’s game remained tight until the late innings. Ridgefield jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first before Springfield answered with a run in the bottom half. Both teams scored three times in the third, giving the Raptors a 5-4 advantage.
JT Summers launched his team-leading seventh home run in the fourth to extend the lead to 6-4, but Springfield answered with runs in the fourth and fifth to even the score at 6-6.
The Raptors regained the lead in the seventh when Springfield balked home a run with the bases loaded. Ridgefield then broke the game open in the eighth, taking advantage of wild Drifters pitching. Springfield issued four walks and hit six batters, allowing the Raptors to score five runs on their way to a 12-6 victory.
Sunday’s regular-season road finale is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. PT at Hamlin Sports Complex.
By clinching the West Coast League First Half title, Ridgefield secured the No. 1 seed in the South Division playoffs. The Raptors will open the best-of-three first-round series on the road before returning to the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex to host Game 2 on Saturday, August 7th and Sunday, August 3rd (if necessary).
