The Ridgefield Raptors hit the road for their first road trip in 2026 to take on the Port Angeles Lefties. This will be the furthest north the Raptors will travel this season. These teams haven’t met since 2024, when Ridgefield swept Port Angeles at Civic Field.
Ridgefield’s starting pitching paved the way in its series win against Nanaimo, giving up one run and four hits in 11 innings over three games with the NightOwls. Kamloops capitalized on a four-run top of the fourth inning en route to a 7-3 win Tuesday night.
The Raptors coaching staff felt the team came out flat to start the series and challenged the team to respond. Cade Ladehoff (Michigan) cranked his first home run of the summer to left field to jump-start the Raptors in the bottom of the first.
Ridgefield’s offense scored nine total runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings to push its lead to 11-3. But Kamloops refused to go away, clawing back to tie the game with eight runs on five hits and two walks, capped by a game-tying two-run dinger from Evan Dugdale.
The NorthPaws took the lead for the first time since the third inning after Anthony Setticasi hustled down the first-base line to reach on a fielder’s choice, putting his team up 12-11.
Raptors head coach Chris Cota pinch-hit JT Summers (Oregon) with a runner on second. Summers crushed a go-ahead two-run home run to regain the lead at 13-12. His future Oregon teammate, Isaiah Hearn, added insurance with a solo shot.
Noah Coakes (Paradise Valley CC) struck out Tanner Mitchell to end the game with runners on first and second.
Port Angeles is 2-3 on the year and looking to pick up its first series win at Portland tonight. The Lefties dropped two of three to the Berries in Marion. Lefties head coach Donald Brais is in his third season and is also an assistant coach at Citrus College in California.
