The Ridgefield Raptors return to the nest for two games this weekend against the NW Star Nighthawks. These non-league games will start at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday and 1:05 p.m. on Sunday for a Father’s Day matinee.

Join us at the park or watch/listen online via the livestream on the Raptors homepage. Tickets can also be found on the homepage: RidgefieldRaptors.com.

Both games should have terrific weather, with no rain currently forecasted and warm temperatures — a high of 81 on Saturday and a high of 91 on Sunday.

Ridgefield completed a three-game sweep of the Bend Elks this week, all three in close games. The Raptors won by margins of 1, 2, and 3 runs, respectively. It was the second time the Raptors have earned a victorious series sweep (both against Bend) and next week Ridgefield will have a second shot at the only team to sweep the Raptors. The Yakima Valley Pippins come to town for a three game series starting Tuesday.

The Raptors’ offense has been torrid so far. Ridgefield has 140 hits on the season, the only team over 100. The Raptors are also first in the WCL in runs, doubles, runs batted in, batting average and slugging percentage.

Ridgefield is in good position for a playoff spot, although the season is still young. Ridgefield is in first place in the WCL Southern Division by a half game, sitting at 8-4 on the year.
