The Ridgefield Raptors are happy to announce the signing of University of Oregon catcher Aaron Zavala. Zavala comes to the U of O from Salem, Oregon, where he was named Oregon 6A State Baseball Player of the Year.
“Ridgefield is getting a quality young man, first and foremost,” said Oregon Associate Head Coach Jay Uhlman. “Aaron will be a player the fans will appreciate watching play hard. He has a middle of the order left-handed bat and will be a force in helping the Raptors generate runs, in addition to working well with the pitching staff. We are thrilled to have Aaron playing for the Raptors in their inaugural season.”
