The unblemished Ridgefield Raptors are back at home for another three game series starting Tuesday at 6:35 p.m. The Portland Pickles make the short trip north for a Tuesday-through-Thursday series at the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex.

Ridgefield is the only undefeated team in the West Coast League, beating Bend in the season-opening series.

This will be the last time to catch Raptors baseball at the RORC until June 19; after the series concludes on Thursday, Ridgefield heads to Yakima Valley for three days and then to Bend for three more.

Ridgefield’s offensive attack was torrid in the first series of the season, piling up 46 hits. That’s 20 more hits than any other team in the league, and Ridgefield’s 34 runs scored were 11 more than any other team. The Raptors also lead the WCL in doubles (10), runs batted in (30), total bases (70), batting average (.393), on base percentage (.442), slugging percentage (.598) and home runs (4, tied for first).

Portland is the only other team in the WCL South Division with a winning record, taking two out of three games against Wenatchee in the Pickles’ first series. In terms of historical win-loss record, this series will break a tie between Portland and Ridgefield. These two clubs split their six games in 2019, Ridgefield’s first season.
