The Ridgefield Raptors are headed back to the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex (RORC) for their first home series in the organization’s history.
Ridgefield spent the weekend in Bend, Oregon in a three-game series against the Elks. The Raptors took Game 1 of the series with a lot of strong pitching. Gonzaga Bulldog Landon Hood earned the win going 4.1 innings, allowing no runs and just one hit after starter Joseph Fredericks allow one unearned run in 3.2 innings. Coppin State commit Dillon Kirksey earned the save with a scoreless ninth inning.
So far this season, Evan Jaquez, Jordan Hockett and Noah Karliner have four hits, creating a three-way tie for the top hitter for the ‘Raps in early 2025. Karliner’s three doubles and two RBI are the most on the team.
For the Berries, it will be their first ever WCL series in franchise history. The team is based in Salem, and Marion joins the South Division of the WCL, creating a total of nine teams in the south and 17 teams in the league. Marion is led by head coach Tucker Brack, who was an assistant coach at the University of Portland.
All games against the Berries will start at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Tickets to the games Marion at the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex (RORC) are available on ridgefieldraptors.com. The live stream to watch or listen to the games against Marion will be available on ridgefieldraptors.com/stream. #GoRaps
