The Ridgefield Raptors begin the final week of the 2022 regular season in Walla Walla for a three-game series with the Sweets.
Ridgefield is angling towards playoff positioning and has two big series this week, closing with a home-and-away series against Corvallis. The final two regular season home games are Friday and Sunday against the Knights.
The Walla Walla games will be at 6:35 p.m. from Borleske Stadium, except for Thursday’s game at 7:05 p.m. All three games will be broadcasted audio-only at RidgefieldRaptors.com.
The Raptors opened the season against Walla Walla and won two of three games, only losing a rain-shortened contest in Game 2. The Raptors came back in Game 3 from a five-run deficit to win, 23-12, setting a Raptors record for most runs in a contest.
Now the Raptors travel to Walla Walla for the first time since last summer, when Ridgefield closed the regular season at Borleske. The Raptors won two of three games, creating a three-team tie with Bend and Portland. Ridgefield won the tiebreaker and made the playoffs for the first time in team history.
Returning Raptor Mikey Kane had a great series at Borleske last year, going 7-for-12 at the plate with a double. Isaac Lovings hit his first home run as a Raptor in Walla Walla last year during a 15-3 win in the opener.
If the Raptors make the playoffs, stay tuned for updates about scheduled games, which begins August 9. The Raptors will host at least one playoff game if they make the playoffs, either August 9 or 10, and possibly more games beyond that. The first series is best of three, followed by a one-game winner-take-all Divisional Championship, and then a one-game WCL Championship game.
