The Ridgefield Raptors (0-1) will drive down I-5 to play the Portland Pickles (1-0) in their first series of the 2024 West Coast League season.
Ridgefield lost its home opener against the Cowlitz Black Bears on Thursday night, 4-1. The Raps only run of the night was driven in on an RBI double by Jack Nehler.
Portland last played Ridgefield when it knocked the Raptors out of the 2023 West Coast League postseason. The Raps took a six-run lead before losing to the Pickles 10-6 on August 9.
After the weekend series, the Raptors will return home to play the Edmonton Riverhawks on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The ‘Raps first two games against the Pickles are scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Friday and Saturday under the lights of Walker Stadium. A 6:15 p.m. start is in place for the Sunday finale on June 2.
