After a 10-week sprint, the Ridgefield Raptors are ready to finish their 2025 West Coast League (WCL) season. The Raps will play a three-game road series against the Yakima Valley Pippins from Monday to Wednesday.

Heading into Sunday’s game against Walla Walla, the Raptors (21-29) have dropped 32 runs in two wins against the Sweets on Friday and Saturday. Ridgefield won 18-3 on Friday and 14-3 on Saturday.

In the series against the Sweets, Loyola Marymount outfielder Cooper Whitton hit a grand slam in Game 1 and had eight RBI in the series going into Game 3 Sunday. Fellow Lion Andrew Estrella launched a three-run home run on Saturday night and totaled three hits in Game 1.

Oregon State’s Max Fraser helped the Raptors in Game 1, pitching six scoreless innings as the starter. Fraser earned the win and struck out eight hitters. LMU’s Jake Geiss pitched two scoreless innings behind Fraser, striking out five Sweets.

Yakima Valley (13-37) has struggled against the Black Bears in Cowlitz, and the Pippins lost Friday by three runs and 12-4 on Saturday.

Against the Black Bears, catcher Nolan Rowe (Washington) had three hits, an RBI and a stolen base on Saturday. Third baseman Brodie Geoghagan produced two hits, two stolen bases the infielder and scored twice. On the mound, reliever Oliver Wilday (Yakima Valley College) tossed two scoreless innings against Cowlitz.  

The Raptors played the Pippins in the first half and won two out of three games from June 10 to June 12. 

Game 1 on Monday will start at 6:35 p.m., and Game 2 is also scheduled to start at 6:35 p.m. Sunday’s Game 3 is set to begin at 7:05 p.m. from Yakima County Stadium.
