The Ridgefield Raptors play the second and final series with league-leader Corvallis this weekend. The series begins Friday at 6:35 in Corvallis and continues in Ridgefield Saturday at 6:35 and Sunday at 1:05.
Friday’s game at Goss Stadium will be broadcasted live (audio only) at RidgefieldRaptors.com, where tickets are also available for the final two home games of the regular season on Saturday and Sunday. Home games have a live audio and video stream from the RORC.
The Raptors are battling for a playoff berth, potentially the first since the team joined the West Coast League in 2019. The Raptors would face Corvallis in the divisional round beginning with a home game on August 14.
The Corvallis Knights locked up a playoff berth in July by winning the first half; the second playoff berth awaits the winner of the second half. Corvallis is in first place in the second half as well, so the playoff berth will likely go to the team with the second best record from the entire summer.
Ridgefield has two series remaining: this weekend’s matchup with Corvallis and a road trip in Walla Walla from Tuesday through Thursday.
The Raptors played Corvallis in early July with three close games all going to the Knights. Corvallis has stayed hot since then, winning seven series in a row including this week’s faceoff with the Northern Division leader, Yakima Valley.
Sunday’s home finale with Corvallis is also the final Family Day of the year, when kids 12 & under get in free with one paid adult per child.
