In one final six game stretch, the Ridgefield Raptors will conclude their 2025 season in the next week. The last stretch will start with a weekend home series against the Walla Walla Sweets.

Ridgefield swept the Northwest Star Nighthawks in its last series. The Raptors concluded their non-league schedule with a 4-1 record, winning 5-4 on Tuesday and 9-0 on Wednesday.

Several pitchers were effective against the Sweets, including Ridgefield native Dillon Kirksey, who pitched a scoreless ninth inning in Game 1 against the Nighthawks, giving him the save. In Game 2, Jiyeong Park, Moe Escobedo, Blaze Wong and Dawson Downs combined to shut out Northwest Star in Game 2.

Offensively, Jovan Camacho had six hits in the series against Northwest Star, and went 4-for-4 on Wednesday, earning two RBI and two walks, as well. Downs pitched and hit in Game 2 and hit a two-run home run early in the game.

The Raptors played the Sweets at Borleske Stadium from June 6 to June 8, and the Sweets won all three games. Ridgefield played to a one run margin in Game 2 (5-4) and Game 3 (3-2).

The Sweets are finishing a three-game series at Corvallis on Thursday. Through the first two games, Walla Walla has lost 11-2 and 5-2 at Goss Stadium in Corvallis.

All-Star infielder Dominic Cadiz leads the Sweets in games played (40), hits (50), batting average (.345), home runs (nine) and RBI (36). On the mound, Lewis-Clark State’s Levi Anderson leads the Sweets with 38.1 innings. Colorado Mesa’s Alex Jennings has 30 strikeouts this season, which is the most of any pitcher on Walla Walla.

Game 1 on Friday will start at 6:35 p.m. and so will Game 2 on Saturday. Sunday’s Game 3 will start at 1:05 p.m. On Monday, Ridgefield will start its final series of the season with a 6:35 p.m. matchup against the Yakima Valley Pippins at Yakima County Stadium.
