The Ridgefield Raptors are thrilled to announce the signing of Evan Jaquez and Jose Mariano, a pair of standout infielders from College of the Canyons, for the upcoming 2025 season.
Evan Jaquez, a Santa Clarita, California native, has been a consistent contributor this spring for the Cougars. Through 31 games, he’s posted a .310 batting average with 5 home runs and 30 RBIs, showcasing power and production from the infield. His steady presence at the plate and in the field makes him a strong addition to the Raptors lineup.
Joining him in Ridgefield is Jose Mariano, a Manila, Philippines native, who’s been the most explosive hitter for College of the Canyons this year. Mariano is currently slashing an impressive .382 average with 8 home runs and 37 RBIs in 33 games played. His ability to impact the game offensively makes him a name to watch this summer.
Both players are coached at Canyons by Raptors head coach Chris Cota, giving them a strong foundation and familiarity with Ridgefield’s culture and expectations heading into the season.
We’re excited to welcome Evan and Jose to Southwest Washington as they take the field at the RORC this summer!
